From Kununurra, Dad drove 3018km in 36 hours!
We spent just over 5 weeks away from home, drove almost 10,000 km, flew in a chopper and a plane, spotted plenty of crocs, fed sharks, ran from snakes, made a few new friends, rode through rapids, saw some really awesome landscapes, caught 4 Barra, Sooty Grunter, Bream, Queenfish, Barracuda and a Fingermark... and bought lots of the Kimberley dirt back with us to show mum!
We got home at about 8pm on a Sunday and mum and dad said it was ok if I had the Monday off... but I wanted to go to school. The WA air must have done something to my brain!!
Dad discovered that the irritation and blurriness he had in his eye for most of the trip was actually a detached retina and had to have surgery straight away! Mum reckons he always gets a bit one-eyed during the State of Origin, but that was taking things a bit too far! :)
Anyway, thanks for tagging along with us. I hope you enjoyed our travels as much as we did. We have had a really amazing trip and I know I will remember it for a long time. We still didn't get to see everything there was to see along the way, so I'm sure dad will have another trip in mind for another time... :)
Bye for now,
Cooper :)
